Rachel and Deysha sent me this introduction so I'll pass it on to you. They're moving into the annex on May 1st:
Us:
Deysha is 27 and has three more semesters left after this one to complete her undergraduate degree in Animal Behavior and Wildlife Conservation at UMass. Before going back to school she had various jobs in coffee and horses. We met at the Rock Creek Park Horse Center in Washington, DC, where we both worked before I convinced her to join me when I moved back to New England. I am 29, grew up in Maine, graduated from Smith (music and English), and am now a freelance riding instructor. The barns I visit most often are Back Acres Farm in Plainfield and Carrier Farm in Southampton. I also work part-time as a barn helper for a lady in Whately with five horses. In our spare time Deysha and I enjoy playing with our ponies, computer games, yoga, riding bikes, cooking and eating healthy food, and occasionally playing guitar and singing. We are both on the shy side.
And here's a bit about their cats (should I start a Cats of Our Lives page? We need some pictures!):
3 indoor cats, all spayed/neutered and well-behaved:
Steele aka Doo-Doo (big tabby, 10 years old) - ridiculously friendly and affectionate, loves to be snuggled and give kisses
Athena aka the Bean (calico, 5 years old) - gentle, sweet, hides from strangers, sleeps with mommy
Princess Lenore aka Bitey (grey calico tabby, 4 years old) - little but chubby, likes to sit on your lap but don't move or she'll bite you!
